Oil: Adding 35 cubic meters to the volume of invested gas production during March

The Ministry of Oil announced, today, Thursday, the addition of 35 pumps to the volume of invested gas production during the current month of March.
The Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber Ismail, stressed, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),
"the importance of expediting the implementation of associated gas investment projects from oil fields, in implementation of the ministry's plans in this regard, in order to implement the requirements for adding new quantities to national production, and in a manner consistent with government programme.
Ismail said, during his visit to the export port of Umm Qasr in Basra Governorate, that
"the ministry is working to reduce the burning of gas associated with oil operations through promising projects," noting that
"the next few phases will witness the addition of new quantities of invested gas, including the addition of (35) fuel."
One million standard cubic feet per day of raw gas, including 30 cubic feet of dry gas, 150 tons of liquid gas, and (600) barrels of condensate, after 2 compressors were installed and operated in the Zubair field (Mishref). He pointed out,
"The ministry is keen to develop and rehabilitate loading docks at Umm Qasr port and increase export capacity."
For his part, the Director General of the South Gas Company, Hamza Abdel-Baqi, confirmed that
"the rate of exporting liquid gas in excess of Iraq's need is at a rate of 5 thousand tons per shipment, at the rate of three shipments per month," noting that
"liquid gas is not "dry gas" that is used to operate electric power stations.
The Undersecretary for Gas Affairs had held a meeting during his inspection tour of the oil and gas facilities in southern Iraq, with officials of the South Gas and Basra Gas Companies, and was briefed on the plans and programs for the development and investment of gas from the southern governorates.
