Iraq agrees to open a consulate in Arbil, UAE

Erbil, 27 December / December (Rn) - The Council of Ministers in the federal government Tuesday to open a consulate of United Arab Emirates in Arbil's fourth consulate Arab in the Kurdistan region which is witnessing significant economic growth.
The Council of Ministers in the United Arab Emirates had ratified in March last the decision to open a consulate in Arbil. He said government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement distributed to reporters by e-mail that the Council of Ministers approved "the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and included open a consulate to the United Arab Emirates in the province of Arbil, the basis of Article 26 of the Foreign Service Act No. 45 of 2008 . "
Dabbagh pointed out that "the Republic of Iraq reserves the right to open a consulate general in the United Arab Emirates in the future according to the principle of reciprocity."
