Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, pointed out during his meeting with the Arab ambassadors and diplomats that "Iraq is eager to develop its relations with the Arab countries."
A statement by Maliki's office cited "Maliki explained the Iraqi vision over the current political updates in the region and the Arab countries," noting that "Iraq receives the stage of post the US troops' withdrawal with its policy to upgrade its relations on the basis of the mutual cooperation and respect with all countries especially the Arab countries."
"Maliki answered all the questions of the ambassadors over the latest internal and external updates," the statement added.
"For their part, the Arab Ambassadors called to reactivate the Iraqi regional role assuring that this role will positively affect the regional situations in general," the statement concluded. /End
