Industry is planning to manufacture a car in full and an Iraqi contract with General Motors and Kia

Revealed the Ministry of Industry for its contract with international companies to assemble cars with high specifications, as well as establishing joint ventures to set up factories producing vehicles in Iraq.



The General Manager of the automotive industry of the ministry, Engineer Adnan Ahmed demure in an interview (Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network): The company signed a contract with the company (GM) U.S. for the production of five thousand sedans annually, as close to signing with the company (Kia ) Korean production of about seven thousand cars a year, living room and two types of pregnancy, indicating that the duration of each contract will be five years.



He added that the current negotiations will result in soon for a new contract with the company (Nissan) of Japan, to establish the integrated plant management independent of the production of vehicles in Iraq, including the engine and transmission speed (bellows), pointing out that the negotiations were based on the Law 21, which requires the contribution of the company by 24 percent, compared to 76 percent of the private sector, noting that Nissan had submitted offer for a contract, which promised a quantum leap in the field and the quality of the auto industry.



He revealed that his company staid and laid-running three-year plan to get to the manufacture of an Iraqi car in full, noting that the first phase will see the car assembly disassembled completely for four or five types of vehicles by the end of next year.
