Kuwaiti deputy FM defends Mubarak Kabeer Port

Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry affirmed that Mubarak’s port will be constructed on Kuwaiti territories, a source told Alsumaria.
Kuwaiti deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Al Roumi affirmed that this project is economic and vital. It does not serve only Kuwait but the entire region including Iraq and central Asia.
The Arab Gulf region needs several ports, he added.
Iraq’s Transportation Minister Hadi Al Amiri believes on the other hand that Kuwait’s decision to build Murabak Al Kabeer port near Iraqi coasts violates Security Council international resolution no 833.
