Erbil (IraqiNews.com) -The Ministry of Social Affairs in Kurdistan Region announced increasing the salaries of the special needs people basing on disability percentage.
The Media Director of the Ministry of Social Affairs in KR, Abbas Akram, reported in press statement that ”The Ministry linked the increment to the disability percentage,” noting that “The Ministry demands official decree from the Ministry of Heath which proves the disability percentage for the handicapped person and the age factor is not considered in the increment.”
The statement added that ”The law related to the handicapped people determined IQD (160,000) as the minimum salary and IQD (250,000) for the totally disabled person.”
