Talabani, Jeffrey and Austin discuss bilateral relations

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: President Jalal Talabani discussed today the development of relations with the U.S.
Ambassador to Iraq James Jeffrey.
The meeting was attended by the Commander of U.S.
forces Lloyd Austin and Vice-Premier Roze Nouri Shawees, according to a presidency statement.
The statement added that both sides discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the light of the agreement signed between the two countries.
The American side praised the active role exerted by President Talabani in enhancing national reconciliation.
Last Friday, President Talabani discussed with Jeffrey at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad the latest developments in the Iraqi political scene and the efforts made for the coming political blocs meeting.
