IHEC: international observers for next local elections in Iraq reach 134

Baghdad (AIN) -The head of the Commissioners Board at the Independent High Electoral Commission, Sarbest Mustafa Rasheed, announced the IHEC's receiving international requests to supervise the next local elections in Iraq.
A statement by the IHEC quoted Rasheed as saying "The IHEC received international requests for supervision of the upcoming provincial elections where the number of the international observers registered at the Commission reached 134."
"The IHEC sent many invitations to the international organizations concerned to supervise the next local elections in Iraq," he added.
