Transport Ministry said that a failure to approve the law infrastructure malfunction Iraq directions for connecting rail train project within the Gulf.
The adviser said the ministry Karim al-Nuri, "we have performed a detailed study of the problem of railway projects that require huge money, including a project to join the Gulf and train project which requires accomplished approve infrastructure law."
He explained that "the ministry will resort to adopt a system to push for connectivity between the provinces and private project Baghdad - Basra in preparation for the arrival of the Chinese trains speeds up to 180 km / h to Iraq as part of the development of the railway system in Iraq."
He added that "the ministry is facing a financial dilemma and a deficit in its budget that can not through the implementation of major rail projects unless the law recognizes the infrastructure that caused delay approval disable several railway projects, including the train linking Iraq to the draft Gulf."
The train project agreed upon by all Gulf of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, and it is hoped to complete it within the year 2018 a length of 2117 km and a value of up to $ 18 billion.
