Tomorrow/Baghdad: the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Wednesday, preventing the importation of poultry and birds of all kinds from 20 countries where the bird flu epidemic.
The secretariat said in a statement it had received "tomorrow", they "decided to ban imports of poultry and birds from 20 countries based on the latest update of the animal health organization OIE, depending on the epidemiological situation of bird flu H5N1, H7.
The ban covers live birds and frozen and prey and decorations, add to egg quality and hatching and bird feathers and all other poultry or products installed.
"The States covered by the ban are Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Myanmar, Egypt, Viet Nam, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, South Africa, wandnosia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Germany and the United States Arkansas, in addition to India."
The influenza epidemic appeared first in Iraq in 2009, with the incidence of this disease 338 including 49 deaths, while six were recorded in 2010 and in 2011, including seven deaths and 422 wounded in 2012, including two deaths.
