Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Prime Minister, Rowsch Nuri Shaways, discussed in Brussels with Speaker of the Belgian Federal Parliament, Andre Flahaut, the relations between Iraq and Belgium.
A statement issued on Monday, Oct. 7, by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office said that in the meeting the two discussed the relations between Iraq and Belgium.
It added that Shaways presented a review of the Investment Conference, being held in Brussels, to discuss investment opportunities in Iraq, pointing out the importance of such meetings to explain economic situation and invite firms and businessmen to work in Iraq.
Shawyas pointed out that Iraq looks to the Belgian democratic experience as one of the successful ones in building federalism. He extended an invitation to Flahaut to visit Iraq to get acquainted with its legislative situation.
