IHEC: Number of citizens who update their records increase significantly

Baghdad (AIN) –The head of the Electoral Department within the Independent High Electoral Commission, Muqdad al-Shireifi, assured "The number of the citizens who are updating their electoral records increased significantly."
A statement by IHEC received by AIN quoted him a saying "976859 citizens updated their records till last Friday."
"The huge rise in the number of the citizens, who update their records, is unprecedented," he added.
He praised "The role of the religious authorities and the leading figures as well as the partners of the electoral process in supporting IHEC efforts regarding records update." /End/
