Urged the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Monday, Japan for a wider participation of investment and economic activities in the region, and called on the head of government to visit Erbil, while encouraging the Japanese government confirmed its work on the region, and support a portion of the coverage given to the reconstruction of Iraq.
This came during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Kurdistan, Barzani, today, in Erbil, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Nobuo Kishi, and his entourage, including the Japanese ambassador in Iraq, according to a statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government, received a (long-Presse) a copy of it.
The statement said that "Barzani expressed his happiness for the visit of the Japanese delegation to Iraq in general and Kurdistan region in particular," calling for Japanese companies to "about participating in a broader investment activities and the development of economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan region."

For his part, expressed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Nobuo Kishi, according to the statement, "his country's desire to develop its relations with the Kurdistan region," adding that there are "a lot of Japanese companies operating in the region on a humanitarian level."

It is noteworthy that the Japanese government opened a consulate in Erbil, in 2008, and appointed businessman Kurdish Azad Bajger, consul her, to organize it to countries that have diplomatic representation in the region, including the United States, Russia, Britain, France, Iran and the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, as well as states have branch offices in the region, such as Germany and South Korea.
