Zebari stresses the importance of the liberation of Iraq from Chapter VII restrictions.

Iraq today presided over the May 28, 2014 during a meeting of the Ministerial Conference of the 17th Non-Aligned Movement held in Algeria after he was elected vice president by the Office for the Coordination of movement in New York.
Chaired by Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, a session on the first day of the conference was moderated by the ministerial meeting which is attended by 120 member states in the movement and in the presence of 17 other state control.
Zebari stressed during a speech on the importance of working together for the NAM countries to activate the organization and renewal mechanisms of action to achieve the objectives which it was created, pointing to the importance of the liberation of Iraq from the restrictions and provisions of Chapter VII and restore it to its sovereignty and independence,
Zebari briefed prohibitions during his speech on Iraq's commitment to the adoption of democracy for peace and development and the commitment of all the deadlines in the conduct of elections and the success of the recent elections in 30 quarters popular participation and democratic spirit of competition and the supervision of international observers, the Arabs and the local. He also stressed in his speech the importance of cooperation of the NAM countries to combat and eradicate terrorism, which is threatening many countries and communities. As well as in cooperation in the areas of cross-border crimes, especially in the areas of drug smuggling and human beings.
This conference brings together around 80 ministers and the head of the regional figures representing many of observer States. It should be noted that the most important files on the agenda of the session, terrorism and transnational crime and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and illegal immigration, racism and Islamophobia as well as the defense of the right of peoples to self-determination.
The Iraqi delegation included a variety of both organizations and the head of the head of the Arab and Iraq's ambassador to Algeria.
The consensus of the words of the participating delegations on the survival of the reasons and motives of the establishment of the movement by the founding fathers of the movement to be the conscience and the voice of developing nations in the liberation from colonialism and slavery and domination and to achieve social and economic development and to achieve balance in international relations. It also confirmed that the current international developments reaffirm the goals of the movement to stay alive. It also confirmed the interventions that have taken place on the keenness of members to renew and update the mechanisms of action of the movement and more coordination of positions to correct the international situation.
