Abadi receives German ambassador in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Obelisk: received the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, on Wednesday, the German ambassador in Baghdad, Eckhard Preveza. During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of security cooperation, training and armament, as well as cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields. Abadi said in a statement seen by "obelisk", that "Iraq is looking forward to the economic future is promising despite the current financial difficulties that we do not want to affect the heroine of our security forces, which is fighting a war against Daash terrorist gangs". During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing preparations for the visit, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi expected to Germany and his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and German officials on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference which will be held next Saturday.
