Iraqiya List threatens of supporting demonstrations if excluded
June 6, 2011
Al Iraqiya List MPs said that if Al Iraqiya list was excluded from the government, it will support the demonstrations taking place in the country. However, State of Law Coalition disregarded these implications.
In spite the fact that Al Iraqiya List MPs amazement over Iraq Premier statements as to forming a majority Cabinet, the same said they hope their list would join opposition in order to be spared from taking part in participating in this government. If excluded, Al Iraqiya will support the demonstrations in the country, they said.
However, State of Law Coalition MPs did not grant any importance to these statements and stressed that a majority government is the solution for the country’s problems.
To that, majority government idea was not hailed by other political parties who said that talking about majority government in the middle of non-confidence environment would cause aggressive reactions between the different confessional components of the society.
However, it seems that if formed, the majority government to which State of Law calls, will exclude Al Iraqiya List which creates a real danger and threatens of taking the country into a phase of a new political void.
